THE Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents’ Association will meet to discuss village news and views on Thursday.
Join the debate at the Methodist Chapel in Chew Valley Road from 7.30pm, all welcome.
THE Pennine Singers present From Brahms to Beatles — a choral of favourites — at Uppermill Methodist Church from 12.15pm on Saturday, May 26. Admission is £5 adults or £3 concessions, with proceeds going to Shelter. Coffee is available from 11am.
TAPAS with a twist will help raise money for charities chosen by the chairman of the Saddleworth Parish Council. Small portions of England’s best dishes will be served up at the Navigation Inn in Dobcross on Monday from 7.30pm, £11.
CELEBRATE a Jubilee afternoon tea at Lees Library community hub in Thomas Street. It is also a chance for guests to brush up on their gardening skills and everyone who attends will receive a Daisy Nook Gardening Centre voucher. The event takes place from 2-3.30pm on Wednesday, May 30.
THE Volunteer of Saddleworth award will be handed out at a special dinner at the Conservative Club in Greenfield on Friday next week. Starting from 7.30pm the event will also raise money for the Saddleworth Parish Council chairman’s chosen charities. For tickets contact 0161-626-7625 or drop in the civic hall in Uppermill.
GHOSTLY goings on will take over the Saddleworth Golf Club for one night only during a fundraising evening of mediumship. Pauline Montgomery will lead the event from 7.30pm tonight, with proceeds going to the captain’s charities. Tickets from 07832-877-662.
A BASKETBALL club for teenagers is running at Saddleworth School, from 6-7pm every Tuesday until May 29, with qualified coaches.
