MEET with the Lees and Hey Homewatch Association next week. Discussions will take place from 7.30pm at Lees Library on Wednesday.
DISCOVER new books and meet new people with the Uppermill Reading Group. Take part in the relaxed session at Uppermill library from 2-3pm on Wednesday.
THE Diggle Diamonds hold a coffee morning at the Hanging Gate in Diggle tomorrow from 10.30am. Admission is 50p.
A COFFEE evening will be staged by the Saddleworth Mothers Club at the Lee Street parish centre in Uppermill. A tombola, raffle and refreshments will raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation during the evening on Wednesday from 7.30pm, with entry £1.
KICK the habit with stop-smoking sessions at Lees Library on Thursday from 5 to 6.45pm. The free event will provide one-to-one consultation sessions with advice on how to manage cravings and where to get support. Contact 0161-633-5764 to book a consultation.
MEET with the Saddleworth WI on Wednesday, July 4, at the Saddleworth Hotel from 7.30pm. The group, which can be contacted on 07967-006362, meets on the first Wednesday of every month.
THE Pennine Singers will present “Gloriana” — a royal Jubilee concert — at Friezland Church tomorrow from 7.30pm. The concert will feature music from Handel, Mozart and Britten.
AN evening of mediumship with Gladys Partington takes place at Saddleworth Spiritualist Church, High Street, Uppermill, tomorrow. from 7.30pm. Admission is £2, in aid of church funds, all welcome.
