DANCE the night away as the Saddleworth WI hold a salsa party with the Giddy Gringos at Dobcross Band Club on Saturday, November 10 (7pm).
A spectacular night will be rounded off with a pie-and-peas supper. Tickets, priced £15, including a salsa lesson by the Backstep Boogie Club, available on 07866-541 560.
FOR the first time, men and women can celebrate the Royal British Legion’s annual fund-raising dinner in Delph together. A four-course meal, music and entertainment will take place next Friday at Delph Band Club. Tickets priced £20, available from Delph Band Club and Delph Post Office.
BUY those all-important Christmas gifts early, at the Parish Christmas Fair held at Kiln Green Church Hall, Diggle, on Saturday, November 10 (2-4pm). Entry costs 50p, refreshments available.
ENJOY a natter and a cup of tea with the Saddleworth Townswomen’s Guild, who meet on Wednesday at Uppermill Methodist Church from 2pm. All welcome.
Sacred Heart Centre, Uppermill hosts a One World Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 10 (10am-4pm). Proceeds to Christian Aid and Catholic charity CAFOD.
MARSDEN Silver Prize will visit Boarshurst Band Club on Sunday for a great music concert, conducted by Glyn Williams, principal euphonium with newly crowned national champions The Fodens Band. Admission is £5 adults, £4 concessions, doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
PRIZE-WINNING author Robert Williams will visit Lees Library to discuss his new book on Thursday. The writer will chat to fans about his new creation “How The Trouble Started”. The event starts 7pm, admission is £2 for members and £4 for non-members. Places must be booked on 0161-633 5764.
