Tramper centre plans are rejected
Date published: 09 November 2012
Controversial plans to build a business and living accommodation for a disabled man on green belt land have been rejected by Saddleworth parish councillors.
Local residents had protested about the plans to build a “tramper” centre - supplying adapted rough-terrain vehicles to disabled visitors - for the proposer’s son, on land in Manchester Road, Greenfield.
Members of the council voted unanimously to recommend refusal of the plans, which will now be considered by Oldham Council planners.
