The Off The Rails Comedy Club has been nominated for Best Promoter and Comedy Club in Dave TV and Absolute Radio’s One Night Stand Awards.

SEE a Christmas pantomime with a difference, as “The Emperor’s New Clothes, or Five Beans for Jack” comes to the Millgate Arts Centre, from Thursday, December 13 to Saturday, December 15, from 7.30pm. THE Springhead Christmas tree switch-on is tonight from 6.30pm, Lees lights up tomorrow, from 3.45pm, and Grotton Christmas tree will be aglow from Sunday at 6pm. All events are free.
A GENEROUS donation to treat Delph senior citizens has paid for a Chinese buffet at Shanghai Wong, Delph, on Monday. Drop into the coffee morning at Delph Methodist Church tomorrow to pick up one of the first-come-first-served tickets. Free transport will be available.
HELP the Saddleworth Neglected Horses group by attending a holistic event with Sarah-Jane at Greenfield Conservative Club tomorrow between noon and 4pm. ENJOY a Candle and Carol Service at Saddleworth Spiritualist Church, High Street, Uppermill, on Saturday, December 15. Music is provided by Bob Wilcox, plus mediumship demonstration with John Harrop. £5 entrance includes buffet, starts 7.30pm. Church will then be closed until January 19.
