SONGS from the 30s, 40s and 50s will be performed by Aniko Toth at The Swan Inn, Dobcross, on Sunday, from 7.30pm.
Aniko has performed with Manchester’s Halle Choir and has been broadcast on BBC TV and radio, PBS (USA), and Bartok Radio (Hungary).
MONUMENTAL inscriptions in Saddleworth is the topic of this month’s Historical Society lecture on Wednesday, from 7.30pm at Saddleworth Museum.
KEEN writers are encouraged to share their talent at an open floor session taking place at The Swan Inn every Wednesday starting this week. Entrance costs £2, and the event is hosted by poet and scriptwriter Julian Jordan. From 8pm.
THE Friends of Castleshaw are hosting an illustrated lecture on Monday by Lorraine Gregory, a member of the Glossop and Longdondale Archaeological Society. From 7.30pm at Saddleworth Museum.
