Lent lunches

ST CHAD’S Parish Centre hosts a series of lunches that will take place during Lent, with the first starting on Wednesday from noon-1pm and every Wednesday there after until March 27.

There is no entry fee as any donations for the meal will go to Christian Aid and there will be guest speakers at each lunch giving short talks. Call Liz Rooke on 01457-810 666 for more details.

JOIN together with fellow textile enthusiasts at the Canalside Quilters sessions, at Saddleworth Museum, on Tuesdays, 10am-12.30pm, and 1-3.30pm. The quilting group formed a few years ago and although quilting space is now fully subscribed, interested parties are still welcome to come along for a chat.

LOCAL parents who have experienced multiple births run a support group to help those in a similar situation on Fridays, 10-11am, at Saddleworth Children and Young People’s Centre, Greenfield Satellite, Wellington Road.

PLANNERS have accepted plans for a conservatory and an extension of a single storey rear extension to 14 Hopkinson Close, Uppermill.
