SUPPORT WaterAid at a coffee morning held at St Chad’s Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill, on Saturday, March 2, from 10-11.30am.
Entry is £1 and includes coffee and cake. A raffle will also be held and greetings cards sold.
ENJOY a night of classical music and young choral voices at Gordon’s Musical Evening, held at Uppermill Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children, or pay on the door. All proceeds will go to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Call 01457-871 626 for more information.
RSPB Dovestone is asking local people to donate their unwanted, worn-out wellies. Until the end of March, Dovestone will be delivering a season of welly-related activities for all the family to get involved in. Donated wellies will be transformed into miniature gardens or bird feeders by staff and volunteers at the site.

OAKFIELD Bridge Club raised £346 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society at a special event on February 11 which included a raffle, home-made cakes, biscuits and a bridge match.
CELEBRATE the Saddleworth Lent Pilgrimage on Saturday, March 2, with a walk visiting all the Churches Together in Saddleworth worship centres. The suggested route starts at St Anne’s, Lydgate, at 9.10am, and finishes at 4.15pm at St Thomas’s in Delph. There will be hot drinks at Greenfield Methodist at 11am and prayers at Ebenezer Congregational at 12.30pm.
