AMATEUR and professional artists can show off their work at an art exhibition at Friezland Parish Church on Saturday, May 11, between 10am and 4pm, and Sunday from noon to 4pm.

DELPH Methodist Church will undergo refurbishment with the proceeds of a table-top sale held on Saturday, May 11, from 10am to 1pm put towards the cause. Tables available for £5. Contact John Mustoe on 01457-875 829 to book.
THE Kids’ Car Boot at Saddleworth School on Sunday from 10am to noon, provides a unique indoor sale of babies and children’s toys and clothes. Pitches £10 for sellers, admission 50p for buyers. SING your worries away with the Saddleworth Singers, who promise a great time every Tuesday from 7.30 to 9.30pm at Springhead Community Centre, Ashes Lane, Springhead. All abilities welcome, rehearsals under way for a concert on June 29. For more information contact Kathleen Sykes on 0161-628 2564.
DENSHAW Community Association has changed its name to the Denshaw Village Association, as the word community is too often associated with things being owned and operated by the council. It is felt the word “village” better reflects the contributions made to local facilities by villagers.
ENJOY reflexology, hands-on-healing, Indian head massage and much more at a spring fair held at Saddleworth Spiritualist Church, Uppermill, on Monday from 10am to 4pm. A 50p donation is required on the door.
