Crash drama

TWO cars were badly damaged on Burnedge Lane, Grasscroft, on Wednesday, June 5, when a blue van or 4x4 vehicle crashed into them, but failed to stop at the scene. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the police on 101.

THE Piecemakers Quilting Group are holding an exhibition at St Thomas’s Church Hall, Delph, next Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, from 10.30am to 4pm. RAISE money for Saddleworth Cancer Research at the Off the Rails Comedy Night at The Royal George, Greenfield, tomorrow night from 8pm. Alfie Moore will perform his original and distinctive act.

MAY’S crime figures for Saddleworth North have been released. They reveal there was one burglary of a home, three burglaries of other dwellings, three thefts from a motor vehicle and two reports of criminal damage.
