A MOTORCYCLIST was badly injured after a crash in Standedge Road, Diggle, on Tuesday, August 6. At around 8pm, the rider of the Honda CBR was in a collision with an A-class Mercedes. He was taken to hospital suffering from a broken leg and ribs, and also sustained a neck injury.

THE Saddleworth Carers Group, which meets next Friday, August 23, at Sacred Heart Church, Uppermill, from 10am, is planning an autumn outing. The group is for those who care for people with memory problems.

THE public is invited to help develop plans and ideas to create a more interactive and exciting Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery. Community Days on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24, running from 10am to 4pm, will give locals the chance to have their say on what should be included.
