CHOCOLATE lovers can indulge tonight at a chocolate-tasting party to raise money for St Anne’s Church, Lydgate.

SHOW off your nifty footwork with the Wednesday tea dancers at Saddleworth Civic Hall, 1.30-4pm, entry £2 including tea and biscuits.

EXPERIENCED badminton players are invited to join Saddleworth Badminton Club. The next matches are at Saddleworth School on Wednesday, between 8 and 9pm.

THE third annual Dobcross Concert takes place tomorrow at Holy Trinity Church in the village, featuring Oldham Tinkers and The James Shepherd Versatile Brass group. World champion whistler David Morris is MC from 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £10, available from The Swan, Dobcross, Dobcross post office or Dobcross Band Club.

A CHARITY country night takes place at Uppermill Civic Hall on Friday, November 1, from 7.30pm. Proceeds in aid of Saddleworth Parish Council chairman’s charities. Tickets from Graham or Diane Sheldon on 01457-872 100.

SADDLEWORTH Civic Trust is holding a flea market at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday, November 3, from 10am-4pm. Admission is 50p adults, 30p concessions. Stalls and refreshments. To book a stall call 01457-876 858.

CELEBRATE Diwali at a free session using stories and craft to explore the festival of light at Lees Library on Tuesday, 2.30-3.30pm.

STOCK up on Sunday at a farmers market and craft fair at Saddleworth Museum (9am-3pm).
