ENJOY a coffee tomorrow morning at St Chad’s Parish Centre, Uppermill, 10.30-11.30am, £1 including coffee and cake, in aid of Saddleworth Special Needs Group.


PICK up a festive bargain on Sunday at a Christmas market staged by St Anne’s Church, Lydgate. Held in the parish hall, the market runs from 12.30-3pm. Father Christmas will be there from 12.30-2pm. Free entry.


SADDLEWORTH Historical Society hosts a talk on Monday by Peter Fox, curator of Saddleworth Museum, entitled “Saddleworth in Film 2,” 7.30pm at Saddleworth Museum, Uppermill.


Saddleworth Women’s Institute holds its last meeting of the year on Wednesday at 8pm at the Saddleworth Hotel, with a traditional Christmas evening of mulled wine, mince pies and songs from its own choir. All members welcome.


PICK up that special Christmas gift in the form of artwork at Saddleworth Group of Artists annual winter exhibition. Most of the 50 pieces of work on display at Brownhill Countryside Centre, Uppermill, can be bought. The exhibition runs until December 21.


SADDLEWORTH police station opens tomorrow from 10am-noon to accept toy donations which will be handed out to 150,000 children who live in poverty. The scheme is run by Radio station Key 103.


A FLEA market organised by the Samantha Jones Trust raising money for children with leukaemia will be held on Sunday, December 1, at Uppermill Civic Hall between 10am and 4pm.
