Market success
Date published: 06 December 2013
HUNDREDS of shoppers were offered a glass of mulled wine as they browsed more than 30 stalls at Saddleworth Women’s Institute’s first Christmas market at Saddleworth Hotel.
The event raised more than £500 for Oldham Bereavement Support Service.
GET into the festive spirit with a seven-day Christmas tree festival at St Mary’s Church, Greenfield, starting tomorrow. There is a display of 20 trees supplied and decorated by local businesses. The church opens every evening during the festival for carol concerts, film nights, mulled wine and mince pies.
