Coffee and cake

ENJOY a coffee and a cake for £1 tomorrow morning at St Chad’s Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill, from 10 to 11.30am, to raise money for the disaster emergency fund.
Raffle tickets, greetings cards and other goods will be on sale.
“MYTHS and magic of old wives’ tales” is the subject of Monday’s meeting of Saddleworth Gardening Club, in the Lower Civic Hall, Uppermill, from 1.30 to -3.30pm. For more information contact 01457- 872113.
BUDDING authors can join Oldham Writing Cafe on Saturday, February 8, at Lees Library, 10.30am-12.30pm. The subject this month is publishing, and ideas coming out of the workshop will be the basis of the next meeting the following Saturday.

PICK up some local produce at Saddleworth farmers’ market and craft fair, on Sunday, at Saddleworth museum. Admission is free.
BABIES and toddlers up to the age of five can enjoy a stay and play session on Monday at Saddleworth Children and Young People’s Centre, Wellington Road, Greenfield, from 10 to 11.15am, with play, stories, rhymes, craft, singing and much more.
SHAKE off the winter blues at a tea dance next Wednesday at Saddleworth Civic Hall, 1.30-4pm, £2 including tea and biscuits.
VOICE local concerns at a police surgery and mini-home watch meeting on Friday, February 14, at Lees Library, Thomas Street, Lees, from 1.30 to 2.30pm.
