BUDDING authors can join Oldham writing cafe tomorrow for a publishing workshop at Lees Library, 10.30am-12.30pm.
Ideas from the event will be the discussed the following Saturday.
Boarshurst Silver Band will be playing on Sunday helping raise money for Saddleworth Parish Council chairman’s charity. The event includes community hymn singing at the civic hall, Uppermill, 2pm. Tickets £2.50, children £1, from post offices in Delph, Diggle, Dobcross, Greenfield, Springhead and Uppermill.
OAKFIELD Bridge Club is holding a charity “Afternoon tea with bridge” on Monday, in aid of The Children’s Heart Association. No partners needed. Starts 1pm at the Freemasons Hall, High Street, Uppermill, £5 including table money and afternoon tea. Details from 01457 875122.
Dobcross Village Community meets on Monday at The Swan, 8pm. Meetings, on the second Monday of each month, are open to all villagers.
JOIN the RSF off road cycling club on Tuesday for a leisurely all-day ride around Saddleworth. From Lime Kiln Cafe, Brownhill Visitor Centre, 10am-3.30pm, lights may be needed. Lunch in a pub or cafe en route. Details from www.rsf.org.uk/rides-events.html

WRIGLEY Mill Bowling Club holds its annual meeting at Diggle Band Club, on Wednesday at 7.30pm. All welcome.
LEES and Hey Conservative Club is hosting a Valentine’s Day concert on Friday with the Harper Brothers, 8pm. Admission £1 members, £2 non-members.
