BOREDOM Busters is running a craft day for four to 11-year olds at Saddleworth Museum on Tuesday, May 27, from 1-3pm. Under-eights must be accompanied by an adult. Buy tickets (£3) in advance from the museum shop, 01457-870336.
Author and historian Alan Petford gives an illustrated presentation for Saddleworth Civic Trust on Thursday, May 29, entitled “The world turned upside down – medieval misericords in the North of England”, at Saddleworth Museum gallery, Uppermill, at 7.30pm. Entry is free.

THE Friends of Saddleworth Museum hold the annual plant sale on Sunday, June 1, from 11am to 3.30pm, with plants, books, bric-a-brac, nearly new, cakes, jams and handmade goods. Donations of any of the above items, and help, are welcome. For more information contact Steve or Eileen on 0161-652 7751
ST Mary’s Church, Greenfield, netted £448 with a concert by The Oldham Choir and Oldham Music Centre Woodwind Ensemble. Funds were also boosted by £328 from the church stall at the Road End fair on Maundy Thursday.
STORIES and rhymes for children up to four years old take place weekly at the following libraries: Delph, Thursdays 2.15-3pm; Lees, Thursdays 9.30-10.30am and Uppermill, Wednesdays 2-3pm.
