Cake and a cuppa

ENJOY a cuppa and a cake tomorrow at St Chad’s Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill, from 10-11.30am, to raise money for pancreatic cancer research.
Raffle, greetings cards and other goods will be on sale. Admission £1.
OLDHAM Writing Cafe meets tomorrow at Lees Library from 10.30am-12.30pm. All welcome.
TUCK into bacon butties and home-baked cakes tomorrow at a coffee shop run by Dobcross Ladies Bowlers, 10am-noon, at Dobcross Bowling Club, in aid of club funds.
ALAN Petford talks on the business papers of William Haigh for Saddleworth Historical Society at Saddleworth Museum on Wednesday from 7.30pm. All welcome, donations from non-members.
ADULT cyclists are invited to join RSF Off Road Cycling Club for a full-day ride in Saddleworth on Tuesday. Meet at Lime Kiln Cafe, Brownhill Visitor Centre, Uppermill, for a 10am start. Lunch in a pub or cafe en route. Details at www.rsf.org.uk/rides-events.
