AN adult comedy night is the final fund-raising event of the year run by Saddleworth Women’s Institute in aid of Oldham Bereavement Support Service. ST MARY’S School, Greenfield, hosts “Le Petit Marche” for the church fund-raising group on Sunday, June 29. The summer fair with a French theme will mark the Tour de France, and runs from noon to 4pm. Proceeds to church funds.



THE Luncheon Club for the Elderly of Saddleworth is appealing for volunteers who can spare around four hours a month to meet and greet, set tables, prepare and serve lunch to its 30 members. Anyone interested in helping should call into the Civic Hall, Uppermill, and ask for details.
