A COLOURFUL 2015 calendar has been launched to celebrate the 800th anniversary of St Chad’s Church, Uppermill.
They include images of rural scenes, Morris Men, brass bands, the canal and the church. They cost £4 and are available from the church.
ST MARY’S Church, Greenfield, is celebrating harvest on Sunday, September 28. The service, at 10.30am invites people to donate tinned and packaged food to be given to Oldham Foodbank and Emmaus, Mossley.
TUCK into a bacon butty morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer on Saturday, September 27. All are welcome from 10am to noon at Springhead Community Centre.
WHISKIES from around the world will be sampled at a tasting event in aid of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team on October 4 from 7pm-midnight. Hosted by The Amateur Dram Society at Diggle Band Club, tickets are only available from www.amateurdram. co.uk
