GREENFIELD Infant and Junior School, Shaw Street, wants planning permission for a new single-storey building. Oldham Council’s planning committee will decide on its approval at their meeting on October 15.
HUNT for a bargain at a flea market in aid of Saddleworth Parish Council chairman’s charity appeal at the civic hall, Uppermill, on Sunday, October 26, from 10am–4pm. Entry costs 50p.
SADDLEWORTH Pedestrians’ Walking Club have at least three walks on each Sunday, ranging from six to 10 miles-plus. All walks leave from Lees Library, the longer walks meeting at 9am, the shorter walks meet at 10am. Email info@saddleworthpeds.org for more information.
VOLUNTEERS are invited to join Greenfield and Grasscroft Community Association as they continue work clearing the canal towpath. The meeting assembles at 10am on Saturday, October 25, at the Royal George Mills entrance to the canal.
