Christmas fair

GET in the mood for the festive season by visiting a Christmas fair which takes place at Springhead Congregational Church, Radcliffe Street, tomorrow from 11am to 2pm.
UPPERMILL Stage Society is holding auditions for key parts in the popular play “Billy Liar” at Ebenezer Church on Friday, December 19, at 7.30pm. Anyone who would like to audition should call Lorainne on 01457-836 341.
WORLD renowned brass band, the Fairey Band, play at Uppermill Civic Hall tomorrow at 8pm. Tickets are available from Uppermill Post Office or by calling 07976-165 815. Prices are £12 for adults, or £11 concessions.
FESTIVE celebrations start at Lydgate crossroads at 6.30pm on Thursday, December 11, with the Christmas lights switch-on.
SADDLEWORTH Historical Society hosts a presentation by Canon Jim Burns entitled “The Origins and History of the Whit Walks in Greater Manchester” on Tuesday. The evening gets under way at 7.30pm at the Saddleworth Museum Gallery, Uppermill.
LET your children ask Santa what they would like for Christmas at Saddleworth Museum tomorrow from 1.30 to 3.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 per child and are available from the museum.
SADDLEWORTH Creative Network is holding a Gift and Craft Christmas Festival on Sunday at Uppermill Civic Hall from 10am-4pm.
