Audition date

AUDITION dates have been changed for Uppermill Stage Society’s production of “Billy Liar” at Ebenezer Church, Uppermill.

They will now be held on Wednesday at Ebenezer Church at 7.30pm. Anyone wishing to audition contact Lorraine on 01457 836341.

SPRINGHEAD Liberal Club is hosting a general knowledge quiz on Tuesday from 8.30pm. Entry is £3 per person with proceeds going to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the MS Society’s Oldham branch.


SADDLEWORTH Historical Society meets on Wednesday at Saddleworth Museum, Uppermill at 7.30pm. There will be an illustrated presentation by Alan Petford entitled “William Haigh — An early 19th Century woollen manufacturer of Saddleworth”.


EVERY second Tuesday of the month the RSF Off Road Cycling Club holds its guided Saddleworth Circuit Ride. Meet at Lime Kiln Cafe, Brownhills Visitor Centre, Uppermill for a 10am start.


SCOUTHEAD and Austerlands Community Group meets on Tuesday at 8pm at Austerlands Cricket Club to discuss local issues and host guest speakers.
