Curryoke night

THE Three Crowns Inn, Scouthead, is holding a curryoke charity night on Thursday, March 12, from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12 with proceeds going to Macmillan cancer support and The Oldham Quiet Ones.


ENYOY a dram at a whisky tasting evening at Boarshurst Band Club, Greenfield, on Friday, March 20, at 7.30pm. Admission is £15. The fundraising event is hosted by Friends of St Mary’s Church Organ Trust.


THE Trinity Singers will perform at Greenfield Methodist Church on Saturday, March 21. The concert begins at 7.30pm, admission costs £6, and proceeds will go to Friends of St Mary’s Church Organ Trust.


SADDLEWORTH Male Voice Choir is looking for new members. Rehearsals take place each Wednesday between 7.30-9.30pm at the Old School on the corner of Station Road and Lee Street in Uppermill.


VOLUNTEERS can help keep Greenfield tidy by joining a litter pick organised by Street Scene Greenfield on April 11. Meet at Boarshurst Band Club at 10am, where equipment will be provided. The clean-up lasts until noon.


FRIEZLAND Lane, Greenfield, will be closed to traffic from its junction with Greenmans Lane for 260ft (80m) in a northerly direction for five months from Monday, March 9, to enable the reconstruction of retaining walls.


HUNT for hidden treasure at an antiques and collectors fair at Dobcross Band Club on Sunday, March 22, from 10am to 3pm. Profits from stall rental and admissions will go to Dobcross Village Community. All enquiries to Gill on 01457- 870669.
