Glass act

THE Contemporary Glass Society’s Northern Hub is coming to Saddleworth Museum this bank holiday weekend for a free glass work exhibition.


Starting tonight until Tuesday there will be a full range of techniques on show from 11am-4pm over the weekend and Monday, and 1-4pm on Tuesday.


children in Dobcross can plant up their own garden pot tomorrow between noon and 2pm o’clock, Just turn up at The Old Toll House, off Platt Lane, Dobcross with a container — 30cm or less — and families can fill it up with compost and plants, provided by the Dobcross Village Community.
