JUDGING for the annual Saddleworth in Bloom competition will take place on August 5, with categories for large, medium, small, container and community gardens inspected by a panel including the chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council.

Scouthead and Austerlands Community Group is holding a meeting next Tuesday to discuss local issues at Austerlands Cricket Club, from 8pm.
ANYONE aged 50 or over is invited to join Age UK for a scenic stroll every Tuesday afternoon, from 2pm. The dementia- friendly strolls will take place in Uppermill, starting and ending at the side of Warburton Court, just off Uppermill High Street.
THE new Denshaw Table Tennis Club is looking for players. On Mondays, between 6-8pm, serious players interested in seeing Denshaw enter into a league competition are invited. THE parish community of St Chad is holding a coffee morning tomorrow at the parish centre, in Station Road, Uppermill, from 10-11.30am. It is in support of the West Pennine Down’s Syndrome Support Group. Entry is £1.
