START your festive shopping early at the annual OneWorld Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 7 organised by Churches Together in Saddleworth, and held at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre, Uppermill, from 10am-4pm. Proceeds go to CAFOD and Christian Aid.
DIGGLE Bowling Club’s annual meetingw ill be held at Diggle Band Club on Wednesday, November 18 at 7.30pm.
ENJOY A Festive Fayre at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate, on Sunday, November 15, from noon to 3pm. There will be home-bake stalls, a tombola, a raffle, children’s stalls, and refreshments.
PICK UP a treat at the Farmers’ Market in Uppermill Square on the second Sunday of every month from 9am to 2pm. The market has temporarily moved from its base at Saddleworth Museum while renovation works are carried out.
ANYONE aged 50 or over is invited to join Age UK for a scenic stroll every Tuesday afternoon from 2pm. The dementia friendly strolls will take place in Uppermill with the group meeting at the side of Warburton Court, just off Uppermill High Street, and take a short route finishing back at Warburton Court.
ENJOY a thrilling Race Night at the Masonic Hall in Uppermill on Friday, November 6, to raise funds for the St Mary’s Church Organ Trust in Greenfield. The event starts at 7.30pm. Tickets £4.50, including a potato pie supper.
GRAB A bargain as Saddleworth Civic Trust hosts a flea market with more than 40 stalls on Sunday at the Civic Hall in Uppermill from 10am-3.15pm. To book stalls please phone 01457 876858.
