White Rose AGM

Saddleworth White Rose Society’s annual general meeting will be held at the Swan Inn, Dobcross, on Tuesday at 8pm. A meat and potato pie supper is available at £5.50 per person. Orders must be placed before the event by calling treasurer Michael Hall on 0161-652 3549.

Bowling club date

DIGGLE Bowling Club’s annual general meeting will be held at Diggle Band Club on Wednesday at 7.30pm.


Festive fair

ENJOY a festive fair at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate, on Sunday from noon to 3pm. There will be home-bake stalls, a tombola, raffle, children’s stalls and refreshments.


Christmas spirit

GET into the festive spirit at the Parish Christmas Fair of St Chad at Kilngreen Church, Diggle, tomorrow, from 2 to 4pm. The annual fair offers a host of games, a raffle, tombola and Santa’s grotto. There will also be a wide variety of stalls. Entry costs 50p for adults but children go free.
