Helpers needed

Volunteers are needed by Street Scene Greenfield for cleaning debris, cutting back vegetation and resurfacing areas with stone and repainting lock gates along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

A Burns night and ceilidh in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice will take place on January 24 at Denshaw Parish Hall from 6.45pm. The event will feature live music and a three-course meal. Tickets cost £17.50 and are available from the hospice reception.
