Palestine in focus

THE Saddleworth Palestine Women’s Scholarship Fund has organised a Women of Palestine event on Sunday to mark International Women’s Day.
The free event at the Methodist Church Hall, Uppermill from 2-5pm will include women speakers from Palestine, a short film and Palestinian goods to buy.
DOBCROSS Band Club holds its next monthly coffee morning tomorrow. The event is to raise funds for the club. Entry is free and it will run from 10am- to noon.
THE Community of St Chad, Saddleworth, is holding a coffee morning tomorrow in support of WaterAid. Entry is £2 and the event takes place at St Chad Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill, 10-11.30am.
HELP Street Scene Greenfield spruce up the area’s canal towpaths. Volunteers are cleaning debris, cutting back vegetation and resurfacing areas with stone as well as repainting lock gates along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The next dates are tomorrow and Thursday, March 17.

A LIVE jazz night is held every Friday at Delph Band Club. All are welcome to the weekly event from 8pm onwards.
COFFEE afternoons are being held at Christ Church Friezland every Thursday from 2 to 4pm. The Friezland Coffee Shop team will serve freshly brewed coffee, tea and biscuits with the aim of providing a welcoming and friendly environment.
