Oldham Business Awards
JUDGING and short-listing has begun for the 2017 Oldham Business Awards and this year's process has been enhanced with workplace visits.
Judging panels of three people have been created for each award category, representing headline sponsor Nat West, the individual award category sponsor and an awards steering group member.
Each panel is currently drawing up a shortlist of three finalists per category and will arrange workplace visits to all three.
The visits are a new addition to the process and are intended to assist judging, networking and sharing of advice between businesses, sponsors and Nat West representatives.
Once all the workplace visits have been completed the judging panels will send their decisions to the Oldham Business Awards steering committee. The finalists will be publicly announced in March and all the shortlisted businesses for every award category will be invited to a reception at Innovative Technology in Derker. This will be followed by the main black-tie awards dinner at Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, May 12, when the ultimate winners will be unveiled.
