THE latest Professional Oldham networking event is a barbecue taking place tomorrow, Thursday, May 4, at Dr Kershaw's Hospice.
This event starts at 6pm and is being sponsored by Dr Kershaw's Hospice with food and drinks for attendees.
Lisa Pearson, from Dr Kershaw's, said: "We're really looking forward to the Professional Oldham barbecue, and have plans for good and bad weather.
"We want to highlight just how much goes on at Dr Kershaw's. Many people may think they know what hospices do but we think they will be in for a few surprises.
"Visitors can meet staff and volunteers, and discover the countless ways that we help people across the borough. This includes our Hospice at Home service."
Admission is £10 and payment should be made in advance or on the night. Advance registration is required to attend. To register, send your name, job title and work address to professionaloldham@outlook.com.
Professional Oldham is a not-for-profit organisation which aims to provide quality, enjoyable networking opportunities for businesses in the area without the pressure for referrals or sales.
It was launched last year and organisers include Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, Dr Kershaw's Hospice, Limetree PR, Caremark and Oldham Business Edge magazine, published quarterly by the Oldham Evening Chronicle.
Previous events have included a wine tasting at the Naked Bean Cafe, next to Oldham Library; a tour of the historic George Street Chapel, which is now an events and heritage centre; and a visit to the new Odeon cinema at Oldham's regenerated old town hall.
