Hub business seminar was on the money

BUSINESS Growth Hub held a breakfast seminar to explain different sources of financial support to support business growth.
The event at University Campus Oldham featured a panel of speakers who shared their experiences of securing finance and explained how it had helped expand their business.
The discussion was led by Alan Bambroffe, an access to finance specialist at the Business Growth Hub.
He explained the different areas of funding from banks to venture capital and alternative sources of finance, such as crowd-funding and peer-to-peer lending.
The panel included Maxine Brown, director at MB Recycling; Duanne McEwan, founder of Verde Ceramica; Dale Harris, co-director at Dream Big Sports and Adam Barker, chief executive and founder of Magna Pass.
Graham McKendrick, manager at Oldham Enterprise Trust, outlined its range of grants, loans and advice for businesses and entrepreneurs.
