Oldham Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year — and is appealing for old photographs to mark the occasion
Earlier this year, old menus from dinners gone by and other relics were donated including the certificate of incorporation, confirming Oldham Chamber is indeed 125 years old.
Local policy manager Carol Hopkins has been working with the local interest centre in Oldham to put together a display board for the anniversary dinner at the White Hart, Lydgate, on Friday, November 14.
Carol said: “This display will include a variety of material, including some menus and copies of annual reports and so on. However, the historian is short of photographs.
“Does anyone have any photos— the older the better — which may be worth including in a display?
“If so please could you let me know and then I can arrange for them to be delivered to the centre on Union Street.
“If you have anything else that you think may be of interest, please let get in touch — and the chain of office is still missing.”
