Engineering firm Taylor and Goodman has celebrated the first anniversary of its Royton branch by promoting two staff members.
Lee Greaves, from Chadderton, has been named as manager and Steven Whitworth, from Royton, has become works assistant manager.
The branch, which has 16 staff, is one of eight in the Taylor and Goodman Ltd. network across the UK, specialising in electric motor distribution, repair and maintenance. The firm has its headquarters in Reading.
Milton Street, Royton, was opened in August 2007 to provide a wide range of electrical and hydraulic motor and gearbox repair services, including a 24-hour breakdown operation.
Taylor and Goodman has been taken on by Lloyds British to repair its lifts. To support this work, Royton has employed another staff member, Nigel Merry.
Lee , who has been with the company for 18 years, said: “We are delighted with the progress we have made at the new branch. I plan to take the branch from strength to strength and grow our customer base.”
Pete Ryder, the managing director of Taylor and Goodman, added: “Our Oldham branch has been incredibly successful over the last year, serving our existing contract with Carillion, but also with winning new business locally such as the work we have won with Lloyds British.”
