OMC — also a Ford main dealer — intends to cater for the growing demand for Kia cars in the borough.
Robin Eglin, a director of OMC Kia, is confident on what the dealership will offer to customers.
He said: “The continued demand for the Kia brand has made the opening of this dealership possible. Expanding our Oldham location to include Kia was a considered decision and we are delighted to be able to bring Kia to the area.
“We have assembled a team that will offer a professional, friendly experience which ensures our customers will make informed decisions in a welcoming environment.”
The facility allows an extensive model range and a fantastic selection of cars to be showcased at OMC Kia in Manchester Road, Werneth.
There will be eight cars on display in the main showroom and others, new and used, at the site.
Added Mr Eglin: “OMC Kia in Oldham will provide its customers with a complete aftersales, MoT, accident repair and parts service.
The team is made up of qualified experts to offer in-depth, knowledgeable advice.”
Robin Eglin is the grandson of Ralph Eglin Snr, the founder of OMC which, in 1911, was the 13th Ford dealership to be appointed in the whole of the United Kingdom.
Today, the £30 million turnover business is the second longest established Ford dealership which is still in the original family ownership.
