MAZDA Oldham has changed hands in a management buyout by leading dealership Lythgoe, led by director Mark Beach.

Lythgoe is now one of the biggest dealerships in the North-West, boasting prestigious showrooms in Rochdale and Bolton as well as the Middleton Road, Oldham, site.

Mr Beach, from Heywood, said: “The introduction of our new showroom establishes Lythgoe at the forefront of the dealership business which makes me very proud.

“The recent economic struggle has set a challenging bar for our industry and I am pleased to say that with the dedication of staff and the creativity of our customer deals we are standing strong for a promising 2009.”

Lythgoe offers exclusivity on manufacturers Citroen, Nissan, Fiat and Mazda.

To mark the opening, the new owners hosted a day of fun activities for families.

The event was held in the new-look Middleton Road showroom when an array of special deals was announced.

Dealer principal John Barker, from Oldham, said: “Lythgoe Oldham very recently became a Mazda dealership.

“Our event was to encourage drivers to come to our showroom and experience for themselves why Mazda was recently named ‘Best Carmaker’ by consumer organisation ‘Which?’”

To mark its return to Oldham, Lythgoe is offering a 20 per cent service discount voucher, which can be redeemed for a limited period at the Oldham dealership for all Mazda owners.
