OLDHAM-based textiles supplier Turner Bianca enjoyed a leap in profits in the year to March, despite sales remaining flat at £67.3m
A £2m drop in the cost of sales saw pre-tax profits increase to £2.3m compared with £776,000 the previous year. Gross profit increased to £16.7m from £14.7m in 2007, while retained profit was up to £1.5m from £483,653.
Turner Bianca, which employs around 277 staff and is headquartered in Claremont Street, Hathershaw, has offices in New York, China, Turkey, Spain and Portugal. The company sources, designs, markets and manufactures linen, including bedding, selling in the US, Europe, Japan, South East Asia and Australia.
