WEB Applications UK Ltd, established in 2000 by software developers Lee Tudor and Gordon Pearce, has become a major player in the Oldham IT community.
Established to develop leading-edge reservation systems and e-commerce travel applications, the company was set up by Lee, from Oldham; and Gordon, from Littleborough; who were quickly joined by Kamal Choudhury, from Greenacres, as business development director and Craig Dean as managing director.
They have worked well to drive the company forward and experienced rapid growth during the past seven years from their base at the Hollinwood Business Centre.
Led by Mr Dean (33), from Chadderton, Web Applications UK is a strong supporter of the local community and educational institutions and has become a sponsor of the One Oldham Business Awards.
An experienced IT team combined with knowledgeable consultants has allowed Web Applications UK to sustain a growing customer base in several countries with clients varying in size from small enterprises to large corporations.
Web Applications UK has turned its expertise in developing systems for the travel industry into a powerful knowledge base, driving its consultancy arm and system development groups to help companies get the most out of their IT solutions in a number of market sectors.
“Combined with strong partnerships, we can deliver the right answers to the many questions facing businesses today,” said Mr Dean, adding: “Many IT companies are struggling in the current economic climate, but here the future is very bright.”
