OPTICIANS group Specsavers has opened a new branch in Royton with Rod Fullalove, a Royton man who already has responsibility for the Curzon Street, Oldham, store, in charge.
Oldham-born former rugby international Paul Highton was joined by the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Shoab Aktar, and Mayoress, Shafeena Kauser, to officially launch the outlet.
Located in Royton’s main shopping precinct, the new store has created six new jobs for local people. Rod said: “As a local resident I am really pleased to be able to bring the Specsavers offering to Royton. This was an obvious location for a new store.”
