A DIPLOMA designed to encourage young people into engineering is the subject of a business breakfast in Chadderton on March 27.
Employers looking for ways to recruit the right staff are encouraged to attend the event at the City Learning Centre, Hollinwood Avenue, to learn more about the scheme.
Registration is from 8.30am, when refreshments will be available. The hour-long session will involve short, fast-paced presentations from Khuram Sadar, who will offer an overview of learning developments for 14 to 19-year-olds.
Khuram, from the Oldham Engineering Diploma Consortia, will also talk about the diploma. He will be followed by Gareth Humphreys, of MBDA Systems, based in Lostock, Bolton, who will present an employer’s perspective and Jane Wilkinson, from the Oldham Education Business Partnership, who will discuss how employers can support the diploma.
There will then be questions from the floor followed by networking for those who wish to stay.
