A NEW concept in travel has been launched in Oldham by three former directors of the Co-operative’s travel arm.
Designer Travel, a web-based agency, was launched at a glittering event at the Clough Manor, Denshaw, when Angela Mayall and Andrea Mills, who run the newest arm of the business, were introduced to an invited audience.
Founded in January, 2008, by Amanda Matthews, the managing director, Karen Peacock and Peter Dawson, Designer Travel is described as an upmarket, service-driven travel business serving local communities.
Amanda, from Oldham, said: “Angela and Andrea will help our customers create the perfect holiday.”
Angela, from Grasscroft; and Andrea, from Grotton; are hoping the business will become a success to follow the launch of Designer Travel in Rossendale which now has a holiday shop base. Initially they will work from home using their respective websites, Designer Travel and Designer Cruises.
