FIFTEEN full and part-time jobs have been created by Greggs, the UK’s leading bakery retailer, which has opened a third shop in Oldham.
Greggs has invested £140,000 into the shop, which is alongside the new Tesco Extra superstore in Huddersfield Road.
Mike Kavanagh, retail development manager for Greggs in the North-West, said: “With all the pessimism currently surrounding the local economy and jobs market, it is fantastic to be able to reinforce our commitment to Oldham and the region through continued investment in new shops.
“We are really pleased with the start that we have made at Huddersfield Road and are confident that this will turn out to be a great success for us.”
The shop will be supplied daily from a new, purpose-built production base in Openshaw.
One of the UK’s leading bakery retailers, Greggs has more than 1,400 shops nationwide.
