XPRESS Solutions has become an Oldham success story only four years after founder Sarah Sanderson set up the recruitment business.
In a period that has seen a number of recruitment consultants close their Oldham offices and relocate out of the town, Sarah (33), from Greenfield, has been expanding her business.
A significant investment has seen Sarah move premises, purchasing the adjacent former offices of PH Properties, which was the conveyancing and sales arm of Pearson Hinchliffe Solicitors, in Queen Street.
The firm’s new home has been refurbished in readiness for the next phase of development when the first-floor office suites will be brought into use.
Sarah, who has seen her long-term colleague Leonie Smith leave the company, swopping Hathershaw for Sydney, Australia, said: “I work with Oldham people for Oldham businesses and we work hard, around the clock, to ensure everyone receives a first-class service.
“Lots of competition has gone from the town in the last 12 months but I am proud to have more than 150 temporary staff actually working and more than 300 business on the books.”
Xpress Solutions specialises in warehousing, driving and manufacturing staff, and also places some administration personnel, and is on target for a £3 million turnover.
With five full-time staff, and plans to expand, Sarah is confident her investment will pay dividends.
“They key is to be there when the clients need you — and if that means a call in the middle of the night from a company wanting someone at eight next morning, then that is what we do,” added Sarah
