Doorman solves a delicate dilemma

FLUSHED faces at Housing Units of Hollinwood saw its famous top-hatted doormen deployed to the mens toilets after customers mistook the brand new loos for a showroom.
The £50,000 new facilities prompted a rush of female customers to inspect what they thought was another showroom set.
But it was red faces all round when shoppers missed a discreet ‘gents’ sign and went marching in to admire the decor.
Doormen temporarily solved the dilemma until more obvious signs were put up.
Nick Fox, director of Housing Units, said: “We heard there had been a few kerfuffles, investigated and decided the best way to deal with matters until we could put more obvious signs up was to deploy the doormen.
“For a while they were probably the only toilets in Greater Manchester with top-hatted doormen, but in an emergency situation that was the most diplomatic way of dealing with matters.
“But given the standard of construction, decor and design delivered by our interiors and maintenance teams, those customers could probably be forgiven for the mistake.”
