WITH a new corporate identity and a suite of new marketing materials, Oldham-based consulting engineers Robert Whetham Associates (RWA) is embarking on a major new business drive across the north of England.

The consultancy has had an early success after being accepted on the Approved Contractor list for the North-West Consortium of NHS Trusts.

Made up of 39 trust organisations, the consortium maintains and manages the list of approved contractors and consultants for construction services across all its members’ hospitals and healthcare premises.

Director Rob Whetham said: “We were able to demonstrate a good track record in this market and met all the criteria in the approval process. We are now ideally placed to tender for consultancy services provision at any of the new construction or maintenance projects being administered by the North-West Consortium for its members.”

Established in early 2003, the business specialises in mechanical and electrical building services design and consultancy. The practice, at Castle Hill House, Mill Brow, Chadderton, was set up by Mr Whetham, from Moorside, to provide professional, cost-effective and creative design and consultancy services.

He added: “We have provided practical and innovative designs and advice on a wide range of projects throughout the country and the majority of our commissions now come from repeat business with recommendations from clients and other design team members.
“The new branding, developed and produced by Sale-based GO Creative Design, introduces a fresh, modern, professional image to RWA, consistent with the continued expansion of our mechanical and electrical building services design and consultancy,” he added.

With sustainability certification becoming increasingly important, the new identify also incorporates a logo highlighting RWA’s Low Carbon Consultancy services.

“After more than six years in business it was time for a new image,” Mr Whetham said.
