Russell Bateman, who made a name for himself with Manchester law firm Berg Legal, has joined the 15-strong team Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law.
His appointment to the company and commercial unit makes the Oldham practise one of the largest independent commercial departments outside of Manchester city centre.
Having read law at Staffordshire University, he worked with a South Cheshire practise moving to Berg Legal. He will be based at Pearson Hinchliffe’s Hollinwood Business Centre offices.
Department head Roger Hinchliffe said: “He has joined the team at an exciting and busy time.”
Mr Bateman, (26), who lives in Manchester city centre, revealed he was attracted by the partners’ ambitious vision. He said: “Pearson Hinchliffe Commercial Law has a clear strategy to adapt to the ever increasing demands and pressures on businesses.
Mr Hinchliffe added: “I can’t think of a more comprehensive legal practice in Oldham right now, or North East Manchester for that matter.”
