A Saddleworth business is launching a new low-cost training initiative to help Oldham businesses to beat the recession.
Uppermill-based people development specialist Pelican People is launching a series of ‘Buzz Sessions’ — four 90-minute bite-sized training workshops, all run on the same day, designed to give people a practical introduction to essential business skills.
The high-energy events cost £39 per person per session, covering time management, running effective meetings, presentation skills and networking.
The first is on September 17 at the Hollinwood Business Centre, Albert Street, Hollinwood.
Pelican People director Cheryl Bennett said: “We have created something that is highly effective and highly affordable.
“As a small business we understand the pressures other companies are under so we have designed the sessions to be quick, effective and motivational so that staff return to work able to put into practice the skills they have just learned.
“In the current recession many businesses have cut back on training to save money. In the long-term this is a false economy as you can quickly fall behind your competitors. The Buzz Sessions mean Oldham businesses can now afford to keep-up.”
Cheryl is keen to hear from businesses about what other subjects they would like covered as workshops can be organised at short notice.
