‘Time to support each other’

K business champion Steve Andrew, from TaxAssist Accountants in Oldham, has launched a Buy Local Campaign to encourage the local community to purchase their goods and services locally.

Steve, based in Victoria Street, Chadderton, has supplied local independent shops with stickers to reinforce the message to the public.

TaxAssist Accountants specialises in offering local small businesses tax and accountancy advice.

Steve said: “We are a small local business ourselves and understand the importance of supporting our small business community.

“2009 has been a tough year and we have seen many of our clients experiencing cashflow problems due to the economic downturn.

“It’s time that local people and businesses started supporting one another by taking advantage of the great services we have on our doorstep.”
