OLDHAM companies and organisations are being invited to attend a one-day conference on the topic of reputation management.
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ North-West Group is hosting the conference at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, on Thursday, February 18, between 9am and 4.30pm.
The conference marks the first CIPR North-West event dedicated to corporate reputation management looking at what exactly reputation is, its value as an asset, how this translates to the bottom line and its measurement on and offline.
Dave Sanders, chairman of the CIPR North-West Group, said: “As PR practitioners we are living through a dramatic change in our profession with the growth of online media and the economic downturn and this is combining with a realisation that reputation is a valuable asset for any organisation.
“The need to be reputation managers as well as public relations practitioners has never been stronger.”

Inclusive’s reward
Inclusive Technology was named ICT Company of the Year at the BETT Awards 2010 gala dinner in London.
ICT Company of the Year is a prestigious accolade in the educational ICT industry which rewards companies for introducing inclusive, top-quality products in educational facilities around the UK.
Martin Littler, chairman of Delph-based Inclusive, said: “It has been an honour over the years to support those learners most in need of extra help.
“ICT is particularly important in bringing new opportunities to children with special needs, so it is wonderful to be named as ICT Company of the Year.”
Award judges commented that in times when there is a lack of support for special educational needs, Inclusive Technology has a proven track record in championing the cause of special educational needs through ICT.
